ONE DAY REMOVALS

Six corpses - Two removal men - One bad day

Synopsis: Andy and Ronnie are just ordinary removal men, nothing exciting ever happens in their day. Today will change that: one day they will never forget.

That is, until the events of ‘One Day Removals’ start to unfold... Follow the adventures of two unremarkable Scottish men who are forced to deal with events of a quite extraordinary nature. Events that will take them into parts of Scotland seldom seen. Events of a very dark kind. It just takes one bad day to change everything, and no-one is safe. A popular stand-up comedian and presenter, Patrick Wight has toured the UK and Europe with his comic stage show and featured in his own regular programme on independent radio from 1998 to 2003. Only recently turning to acting, Patrick made his feature film debut in Stirton Production’s, ‘The Planet’ (2006). Where he played a battle hardened mercenary, marooned on an alien world. Patrick’s character, Andy, is a regular family guy who just wants to do his job and get on with his life. It’s a pity this particular day has other plans for him.

Scott Ironside (Ronnie)
Since receiving his acting and performance qualifi cation from Scotland’s Coatbridge College in 2001, Scott Ironside has became a very experienced actor in both stage and screen. Scott, has performed in several youth theatre productions and musicals: including the title role as the ‘Gruffalo,’ in the musical of the same name, which had a 3 month UK tour in 2001. He has also organised stage fighting workshops, in which he taught many of the forms of combat and swordplay used in theatre. He has had roles in several short films and a part in ‘The House of Mirth’ (Terence Davies, 2002). His supporting role in The ‘Planet,’ (Mark Stirton, 2006) impressed the director so much he was asked to star in the next Stirton Productions movie, ‘One Day Removals.’ Scott plays Ronnie, a labourer who helps out with the removal work, but all he wants is to leave his day job and to become a rock star.
